At Miska & Reini Goldmiths and Jewelers, we bring together Scandinavian and American Contemporary and Classic fine jewelry design.
Co-owner / Jeweler / Fine Jewelry ConsultantElizabeth Miska has grown up in and around the magical world that is the jewelry industry. From childhood she watched her grandfather behind the workbench and her father crafting fine jewelry treasures. Having a family history so immersed in the art of fine jewelry, she has developed a trained eye for pieces of distinct quality. As a third generation jeweler, she hopes to proudly carry on her family name that is associated with trust, superior quality and craftsmanship. Elizabeth looks forward to continuing the relationships with family and friends that have been going to her father’s store for years, and looks forward to building new relationships as well.
Co-owner / Goldsmith / Jeweler
Marleena has called State College her home since 2010, and is originally from the Scandinavian country of Finland. Over the last 5 years, she served as the Goldsmith to Miska’s Jewelers, where she experienced the fortunes of becoming integrated into our local community. For the 6 years prior to her relocation to the U.S., she was the Goldsmith for Kello-Ja Kulta Jokinen, a family-owned jewelry store chain located throughout Salo, Finland. Marleena first started her career in jewelry by attending The Salpaus College of Arts & Crafts in Lahti, Finland. She then incorporated 4 additional Apprenticeships into her education to further enhance her skill sets and to become more specialized in her abilities. Oddly enough, upon returning to Finland after completing her 4th Apprenticeship, which happened to be in State College, Marleena never realized that she would one day find herself moving back to this town again, but this time, to stay!
Marleena is dedicated to her friendships, her family and her work but her passion is to understand and identify the sensitivity of her customer’s jewelry, and the special meaning behind it.
